Philippine home prices post slowest ever growth in Q2 2026
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas reported that nationwide home prices rose just 0.4% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, the weakest reading on record for its Residential Property Price Index. That's a steep drop from 4.5% growth in the first quarter and 7.5% a year earlier, with the slowdown largely tied to softer prices in areas outside Metro Manila. The BSP data also showed a fairly even split in residential loan demand, with houses accounting for 54.7% of loans and condominium units making up the remaining 45.3%. According to BusinessWorld, this marks the slowest pace of home price appreciation the index has ever recorded.
