Pag-IBIG Fund welcomes DMCI Homes as partner to expand condominium choices for members

Pag-IBIG Fund has signed a partnership with DMCI Homes to give members more condominium choices under affordable Pag-IBIG Housing Loans, falling under the government's Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino program. DMCI Homes will put forward eligible projects and offer special pricing and perks to qualified buyers, while Pag-IBIG handles financing, counseling, and loan support. As many as 3,990 units could eventually qualify for financing once accreditation is finalized, with Anissa Heights in Pasay City already approved as the first project. According to BusinessWorld, the deal was formalized on October 16.

Growth opportunities loom for Philippine housing market despite headwinds

Despite ongoing pressures like high borrowing costs, rising construction expenses, and unsold inventory, the Philippine housing sector still shows pockets of resilience, particularly in affordable condos, government housing programs, and up-and-coming regional hubs. An S&P Global Ratings analyst cautioned that a genuine market turnaround likely won't take shape until late 2027, as developers recalibrate supply to match current demand realities. According to Philstar.com, industry players are closely watching how these dynamics play out over the next two years.
