Today's roundup covers two developments shaping affordable and mid-market housing: a fresh government financing tie-up in Luzon and a strong project launch in the Visayas.
Pag-IBIG, Rockwell Land partner to expand housing financing options
The Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) has signed on Rockwell Land Corp. as its newest partner developer, widening the pool of properties eligible for government housing loans. The deal initially covers two Stonewell projects in Santo Tomas, Batangas, with two more Lipa developments — Stonewell Molave and Terreno South — currently going through accreditation. Rockwell becomes the sixth major developer under the Expanded 4PH program, joining Ayala Land, SM Development, Filinvest Land and Robinsons Land, with the signing timed ahead of the upcoming National Housing Expo. According to BusinessWorld, the move is meant to give more Filipino homebuyers access to financing for a broader range of residential units.
Cebu Landmasters reports nearly 70% sales take-up at Ormoc project
Cebu Landmasters, Inc. says its Casa Mira Prime Ormoc project in Leyte moved almost 70% of its available units within just two weeks of launching in late September. The development offers townhouses, single-detached homes and duplexes priced between roughly P2.7 million and P3.5 million. The Ormoc launch adds to the Casa Mira brand's footprint of nearly 20,000 units across the Visayas and Mindanao, and is one of 11 projects worth about P25 billion in CLI's second-half pipeline. According to BusinessWorld, the quick take-up points to continued strong housing demand outside Metro Manila.
