Hong Kong's Commercial Property Investment Growth Beats Peer Asia-Pacific Markets

Hong Kong emerged as the fastest-growing commercial property investment market in the Asia-Pacific region during the second quarter, with deal volumes more than doubling year-on-year to roughly US$3.1 billion. The surge was fueled by stronger activity in both the retail and office segments, alongside a low base from the previous year that made the jump appear even more pronounced. This 129 per cent annual growth outpaced other strong performers in the region, including Singapore's 108 per cent gain and Australia's 82 per cent increase. The rebound also helped push Hong Kong's overall commercial property investment up 90 per cent for the first half of the year compared to the same period last year.

According to the South China Morning Post, the data comes from property consultancy JLL, which tracks investment activity across the region's major markets.
